Burger King partnered with Mental Health America for Mental Health awareness month to create a collection of meals that let you choose how you feel.
And no, happy isn't one of them.
I worked with my copywriter on this idea from its beginning concept stages all the way to the end. We had to navigate many speed bumps along the way, as it took over a year for this idea to become a reality. We chose the names of the meals to appeal to our younger audience, oversaw the design of the packaging, and collaborated to rework the lyrics to the well-known Burger King jingle from the '70s, creating a music video with a message around mental health that was relevant to young people today. I feel proud to have worked on something that generated much-needed attention and conversation around mental health.
